I am never really any good with these things, I kind of feel like I am at a job interview. So let's see, what can I tell you about me and my little blog thingy? Ok well I am an avid reader and have been doing since I first learned how. About a year ago I became a part of the review world. I am in no way a professional and I pretty much do it for the fun of it. I have no rules and no guidelines for myself, well except for I always have to be completely honest. And you can tell by my reviews that I have posted so far that I have no problem at all with that. I add my personality to every review and I know things don't always make sense but I bet you laughed(hopefully). I usually stick to romance books but I have been know to pick up others if the cover and synopsis garb my attention. I currently help out on a couple blogs and reviews teams plus I am an occasionally guest reviewer on one.
To tell you about me well, I am a 30+ year old stay at home mom. I went completely blind about two years ago. But with a couple of eyes surgeries I now have complete vision back in one eye. I have a serious weakness for tattoos and I am currently proudly showing off 12 of my own. Yeahhhh, so that's it for now.
I asked this question on Facebook last night. Why didn't anybody fucking warn me about this book? Seriously, I read this thing in one sitting, from 1 PM to 11 PM. I'm not even sure if I fed my kids(I promise I really did). This was my very first Kristen Ashley book and let me tell you I was floored, why haven't I read anything by her before? I kept seeing several blogs talking about this book recently and hell I had to pick it up.
So I am not going to go all into to describing the book as usual, I just figure I would give y'all my opinion of it. Excited huh? I loved it! No joke, I was so jealous of Gwen and her nighttime visitor. And I am not talking about the sand man people. I mean come on, can't I just meet a hot mysterious man that sneaks in and just rides me like a roller coaster here? But I will say besides the mystery it was a little odd at times but ehh not enough to sway my opinion on this. It sucked that her trashy sister was putting her through such hell but lord, look at what that hell brought her! There was hot penis everywhere! And let me tell you I so hoped she repeatedly tacked Tack when she went to stay at his mountain hideaway. I felt she deserved it after what she was told. I would of. Half the time I didn't get Hawk(her mystery man). I know he was this uber badass commando guy but ehhh. Sometimes the alpha pushed me a little to far and even pissed me off but it made me smile that she would push right back. I hated that she gave into him so easily when he fucked up. I mean hell she could of at least held out a little longer. And I know he admitted to Thursday but was there anybody else, was she actually a filler for when there was no one else? Did I miss that answer somewhere in the story? Was he still doing these "Days" when he was asking her for everything or was it just her by then? Hell I can't remember. But I think just for that she should of nailed Tack to a wall, motorcycle and maybe even a kitchen counter. Hey it's only fair.
I really liked the story though, a couple of times it did seem like there was a little to much going on but it worked out. And I can honestly say that by 4%, I was in love with this book and it's characters. Gwen was awesome. She was funny and feisty. I loved that she rarely backed down, although she did give in to easy. I wonder why her backbone just seemed to disappear? That is my only complaint about her. Now Hawk, he made me swoon A LOT. But at one point I just wanted to slap him and hump his leg at the same time. And then I hated him, I still somewhat do. He was just so asswipey a lot of the time. I have to admit, I don't think he was right for Gwen. I don't think he was good enough for her. My opinion here. He was a hot alpha male though, yes he was. And it did seem like he tried. But beside the hotness, the 4 orgasms in 30 minuets and some of his sweet moments, I am still not completely sold on him. He may be the bad boy I hate to love. But yep, there ya go.
My song for this book: Starting Over by Killswitch Engage
Ok, so I am starting a little late in the game for this series, but I did research first to see if these could be read as stand alone. I was very excited to see that they could be. The only downside was that there were a few characters that I didn't really know, I caught bits and pieces of their back stories but ehhh. So my advice is, you can read it as a stand alone but it may be better to read the other first.
But what I can tell you is that I loved this book. I think for once I actually loved the characters and story more than the sex lol. That is a little unheard of for me. Now don't get me wrong, the sex was damn sure yummy. But this time it wasn't at the very top of my list. So we meet Tatiana, whom is a hybrid wolf shifter. She is part Amoveo and part human. She works as a vet because she has an affinity with animals, she can read their energy waves. One day while working she is visited by her sister who is fully embracing her hybrid life. Oh I forgot to mention that Tat would like to forget she is anything but human. Her sister needs her to come to the ranch she is living at to investigate the Prince of the Amoveo's horses. They have become very ill and one has died. After some convincing she decides to go. Unfortunately a few minutes after arriving she runs into her, dun dun dun, fated mate. The one thing she has been trying to avoid for a couple of years now. And this is where we meet my future husband Dominic. I have to drool here for a minute, I love him. He is now in my Top 5 male shifter list. He made me swoon, tear up, wanna smack him and had me fanning my face all at the same time. I believe I loved every single thing that came out of his mouth. I also loved that even though he was all yummy alpha goodness, he wasn't sniffing everything's ass that walked by. While he was making Tat's heart melt, he didn't have some hoe hanging off of him nor did he smell like vagina. Lol this is an unheard of characteristic lately, and I love him a little bit more for it. Now that I am done drooling. Poor old Dominic thought he had his life planned. All he had to do was keep the prince safe, find his mate or loose his Amoveo abilities. Life was good until that fateful day he tackled his mate before he had the chance to meet her. What happens next is days of fighting, flirting, death, heartache, laughs , mystery and pretty much anything else you can throw in there lol. But the biggest thing is will Tat finally come around and accept who she is? Will she accept Dominic and everything about him as her mate?
I can not wait to read the other books in this series because apparently I have missed some pretty important stuff in my life. I loved this story. The writing was fantastic and it constantly kept me o my toes. I honestly don't think I was bored for even a second. There was really only two things, well maybe 1 1/5 things, that I kind of didn't like. I kind of wish they wouldn't of met or at least realized they were mates so quick after meeting. But then again I did like this because it wasn't the usual for these types of stories. Also the end, sigh. Well it just kind of ended. I mean did they have were tiger wolf babies? I needed a little more to their ending, but I am sure we will still get bits and pieces in the next books, well if there are more books lol. So I loved the story, the characters and the sex made me jealous. Oh and by the way stay away from Dom ladies and gentlemen, he is mine.

I was given this book for an honest review.
So I got to 26% or Chapter 6 and stopped. This book was in no way bad. Writing was good, characters were interesting and developing well. The author was very good with details and I could picture exactly what the author was describing. But sadly, I couldn't bring myself to read anymore. There was just something about it that just, I guess threw me off. I think I just couldn't really connect with the characters. But like I said, I honestly didn't think there was anything wrong with this book, it just wasn't for me.

Ehhh, well.....hmmm. This book, what can I say about this book. I guess i will just start with the characters as usual. We meet Nicole and her sister Brooke, whom after one night decide to become a crime fighting duo. Not only are they ninja like, they also have special talents. Nicole can control wind and temperature and Brooke can control water. Apparently though they can't just create it, they use what they have, like a small breeze or water from a bottle. So they combine all their skills and go out hunting for trouble. So this happens to be Nicole's story. I can honestly tell you that she was not my favorite character in this book. I found her a little dumb and annoying. I mean I get that she doesn't understand her "talent" but to honestly think that shes 100% human is just odd. She had to know that she just wasn't and for her to continue to argue it drove me nuts. And then when she didn't believe someone else s talent(I will get to that in a minute) but she is ok with her and her sisters irritated me a little. She came off a little bratty at times and I just wanted to yell at her to grow up. Sigh, ok let me leave her alone for a bit. SO they find more than they bargained for one night out, a local demon feels their power and follows them. But it's ok folks because Gunnar is a good demon. He and his brothers help keep the bad demon population down on Earth. He is instantly drawn to Nicole but can't seem to figure out what she is. And here is where their little journey begins. So I liked Gunnar and I did kind of feel bad for him. I mean he had to put up with her lol. But he did seem to care a lot about her and just wanted to protect his mate. It took a long time for him to finally realize that she was his. Poor guy was so busy trying to figure out his heart, protect her, teach her and find out what she is. Oh let's not forget he also had to do his job. I still can't get the part where she thought he was tricking her when he made a fireball. Come on girl, you control wind! What is so hard to believe here? So the big mystery, what is Nicole? Will she be able to do what is prophesized?
The story itself had some ups and downs. i mean there were literally up times and down times. I skimmed through a lot of the down times. I got bored a few times. Don't get me wrong the sex stuff was pretty hot, I did fan my face a few times. And yeah the action was great, I mean when it got going it really got going. I got all tense and stuff lol. Sigh but there was some cheesy stuff, I mean like fluffy cheesey. It just didn't seem to fit the story. Now I love dual POVs, I am a big sucker for them. This book had like 4, maybe 5. Ehh, that got a little annoying, it should be 3 at the most. But that's just my preference. I was a little disappointed with the end. I mean it just kind of enede, you didn't really get any info or any lead up to the next book. I mean are there going to be baby demons? Do Nicole and Brooke come close to getting any answers about some stuff? Heck, is there even going to be another book? I know that answer, but you get my point. Ok, I'm done. So the book had some ok characters, decent story, great hot stuff and great action. Will I be reading the next one? Maybe, because I kind of like one of the characters that is going to be in it.
My song for this book: Hey Girl by Billy Currington
I was given this book for an honest review.
How I even made it through this book in once piece is absolutely amazing. I cried so dang much I should be embarrassed. By the end of Chapter 2 the tears were forming and Chapter 3 they were streaming down my face. Sweet lord I needed a towel to clean myself up. I cried non stop, this book tore out my heart, stomped on it, cut it up, chewed on it then threw it away. But I really did love it. But let me give you some advice, DO NOT, and I mean DO NOT read this book in public lol.
I loved the characters. Sigh Emma, that poor doll I just wanted to wrap her up in a blanket and bring her home so i could take care of her. I loved that although she thought she was broken she was still so strong and was surviving, one day at a time. I want to talk about what happened but I will give it all away and I just can't do that lol. I honestly did feel her grief, her hopelessness, heck I felt it all. At every turn I was either cheering her on or crying with her. So many emotions. And James, oh my...he just warmed my heart. I loved him so much and he just tore me apart. Even though I understood how he felt in parts of the book, I still wanted to shake him something fierce. I fell so in love with this couple and their story. It made me smile at all the sweet times, I laughed at all the fun times and I sobbed like at two year old at the sad times. Ok so mostly I cried, i am sorry i couldn't help it. I tend to be a sensitive person. This is another book that should have a type of "Will Make You Cry" warning label. I liked Shel and Matt but ehh. Now Dane, yes he was all swoony but I swear he has a hidden agenda. I mean I know he wanted Emma to open up to him and give him a chance. I just feel like there is something else there that I am missing. He just came on way to strong for me. Maybe it is all because I am so TEAM JAMES here. So yeah there ya go with the characters.
I loved, loved this story. It may have broken my heart but I still loved it. I take notes on the books that I read and so far I have counted 12 notes about me crying. Yeah, I am telling you. Be ready. this story really just knocked me on my rear, I so was not expecting my reaction to it. The writing was fantastic, ok I will admit I kind of skimmed through a couple of pages but it was very few. The story flowed well and it just hooked me right from the start. I needed to know everything right then and there. I am so ready to read the next book. And this time I will have ready supplies, tons and tons of tissue will be available. So Sara Mack, is the next book going to make me cry as bad? Part of me wants it to and part of me thinks if it does, I will definitely need some therapy. And even though I cried a lot, I still thought that this was a great story. Not quite sure I am mentally ready for the next book.

I received this book for an honest review.
Ok well, I made myself read to 49% and had to stop, I honestly wanted to stop sooner but I wanted to make it to at least 50%. I got close enough, plus that was the end of the chapter lol. So let me first start of by telling you that, I in no way found this book to be bad. There were no problems with the story, the writing or the characters. The reason I stopped reading it was because I just couldn't get into it. Dystopian type books are rarely my thing. I have actually only read a couple that I have been able to finish. But I will gladly review what I did read.
We get to meet some interesting characters in this book and there situation is pretty unique. I liked how the author went with race instead of "caste" for how people were separated or judged. It wasn't about money or your status, well not fully, but about what ethnicity you were. Whites were with white, Chinese were with Chinese and so on. They were all treated pretty good. But the ones that were looked down upon and treated like there were lepers were the mixed race. It didn't matter what you were mixed with, you were all thrown together and pretty much treated like you were back in the Holocaust. It was crazy. So we get to meet Rain, Daktari and Zi, all mixed teens who were taken from their homes and thrown in to the Indy Mixed Zone. I like all of them, I liked Rains spirit and strength, Zi was feisty and never gave up and Daktari was sweet and had such a caring nature. They all complemented each other. It was great watching them make it through everyday life in the hell they were thrown into just for being born. They were so strong and tried to not let it bring them down. A little bit into the story we get to meet sweet and swoony Jabari, Cole and Marcello. Jabari plays an important part in Rain's life. It was like these two were destined to meet and make everything right. I mean, I really did like all the characters. Rain and Jabari were so good together, I don't think the author could of made a better couple for this book. From what I did read they have all come together to try and complete a great and impossible mission. They just all want to be happy and free and to live their lives the way they were meant to be lived. So will they ever make this dream come true?
So like I had said earlier, what I did read was pretty good. I just sadly couldn't get into this story. But what I did get read was pact full of adventure, growth and love. It was a sweet story, a little gooey sweet at times, but it was good. I found no problems with the writing. It flowed and kept you intrigued and made you always want to know what was going to happen next or what the newest plan was. I really did want to know if they were able to finish what they had started to put together. The characters were lovable even though at times they were a little to young for me and were kind of like I said, gooey sweet lol. I am pretty sure that one day i will be picking up this book and finishing because I have to know what happens.
My song for this book: Prayer of the Refugee by Rise Against.
I received this book from Netgalley for an honest review.
Yeah so my first note in this book was that this book was hot but odd so far lol. Well it starts out with Fran who we learn has been kidnapped and is being kept in a cell on a spaceship with some other female prisoners. ANd as they are trying to figure out how to survive and escape all at the same time. They come to figure out that the guys down the hall are some Darkon warriors. There is supposed to be some deal about how they can wake up some fierce female Darkons or something like that. That part was a little weird and I guess I should of read the first book to maybe know the whole story. My bad, my fault, not the authors lol. I didn't realize that this was book 1.5 of a series or something. So Fran gets nominated to get out of the cell and go and try to get the warriors out so they can help them. I still couldn't quite understand the exact reason for her having to be the one to go but oh well. So when she gets to their cell to free them, she see the brutal torture these 3 guys have had to endure. Sadly only two of the 3 are still alive.
This is where we meet Jerrel and Quain. Well they seriously just sounded yummy even though they were all bruised and bloody. So she starts to clean them up and then has to give one head and the other she has sex with to fully wake them? Yeah, this again was odd, hot but odd. I guess it rejuvenated them or something. But after they busted one they got all super hero like lol. Then they freed everyone and escaped after murder and mayhem and got on a ship to a safer place. And this is where Fran discovers she is seriously attracted to these two and some serious hot and heavy times happen on the ship. So basically she messes with the guys and they save the day. I guess she has a powerful vagina. But anyways like I said, this book did have some hot stuff in it. I think that and the cave man acting Jerrel and Quain are what saved this book for me. The story wasn't really all that bad but I do wish there was a little more to it. So now I must read the others, well if there are others.
My song for this book: E.T. by Katy Perry ft Kanye West
I received this book for an honest review.
What can I say here but for once I actually liked the story way better than I did the characters. Crazy, crazy. So with the characters we have Skylar and Chace. First we will start with Skylar. She is a trained dragon slayer out on the hunt for an elusive dragon. She works with a special team of slayers that are out for shifters of any kind. The odd thing about this was that they were trained not really to kill the shifters unless they had no choice. They were suppose to capture them and bring them back to The Field where they were to be rehabilitated and put back in society. Kind of sounded like a pound to me lol. As far as Skylar goes, well I really wasn't her biggest fan. She was just odd to me, there really wasn't much to her and she just left me feeling kind of empty. Like I said she was odd. Now I liked Chace a little more. But then again he was a hot guy shifter with a tattoo lol. But to me he was lacking passion but maybe that's just how his character was meant to be. It would kind of make sense, since he was kind of in the mindset of giving up. So yeah maybe I do get him a little more now. But his deal is that he has lived for a 1000 years with a curse that was placed on him by a jilted lover. And he has finally realized that he can't take it anymore. Everyone he has ever cared about is dyeing. He feels alone, empty and he doesn't want to live anymore. With this decision he goes in search of the one one person who may have the cure. But likr always with a cure there is a price to pay. And this is where a mistaken meeting with Skylar happens and he realizes that he has found the one thing he has always wanted and now he must give it all up. And let me add that this line right here, almost made me pass out: "She fucks like a dragon, that's for sure"
I thought this take on dragon shifters was awesome. I loved the whole "other half of your heart" thing. That had me acting all swoony and girly lol. So yeas, I swooned, I teared up and I got mad. And there were a couple of face fanning incidents, whoo! But overall to me this story lacked the passion that shifter usually show. And like I realized earlier, maybe that is how it was supposed to be. But I really hate that it was just barley there. And in the beginning Skylar and Chace's relationship almost seemed to forced. I did love all the twist and turns this book had though, I was pleasantly surprised quite a few times. I would think that I had it figured out but I was wrong at almost every turn. And be warned ladies and gentlemen that this book ends with one hell of a cliff hanger that will have you launching your kindle. Sadly, I did this exact thing. But there were no causalities, everyone is in one piece. So now I must sit here as patiently as I can and wait for th e next book. Grrr Lizzy, why must you torture me? By the way is Mason going to have a story? (Hint, hint)
My song for this book: My Curse by Killswitch Engage
I received this book from Netgalley for an honest review.
The thing I have yet to figure out is why. Why did I stay up till 3 A.M. reading this story? And trust me I know how bad that sounds but I really am not saying this book was terrible. I mean, I did stay up reading it lol. It wasn't horrible but it wasn't great. It just...was. You know?
The characters, wellll what can I say. I liked Elisa some of the time. Well the only times I really liked her were when she wasn't being a twatty idiot. Yes, yes I said twatty. Apparently she is a photographer who is a little down on her luck and men. She sworn off men when her ex broke her heart by admitting he was gay. Ok, so I can kind of understand that but I may have asked to at least watch. Yeah yeah I know, bad me. So anyways she is living in the small town of Trouble, hoping to one day get her big break. One day she gets called about a job to take pictures of some food for an article. And this is how we meet Brody. He is the manager of a restaurant that is having a little trouble, in Trouble. Haha And he has also kind of sworn off women, well serious women anyway, after a nasty divorce. I swooned over this man for quite awhile. I mean he had some cheesy lines going on. Look, I'm sorry but I love me some cheesy lines and thoughts. They make me swoon faster than some smooth talking. Plus some of the talking he did was just hot. And apparently he smells good. He is busy trying to save his restaurant and his relationship with his son when he meets Elisa and the sparks fly. Little do they know that they have a common friend. And through this friend they start to get close. Some walls are broken down and then the author slaps me in the face with one of my biggest "No, Nos" in a book. I have two and this man committed one. I was so done with him after this. My every other note was me telling ol girl to punch him in his balls or to run away. But sigh she loved him and she stayed. But you have to read what all happened in the end. Did he finally give love a chance? Save his restaurant and relationship with his son? And did Elisa finally trust him? Read it and find out what actually takes place in Trouble.
Now onto the story. Oh lord I got so bored during this book, but like I said, for some odd reason there was something about it that hooked me. I will point out that I loved the fact that the author put Elisa in cotton undies. Come on now ladies we all don't wear silk or lace everyday, jeez. And there really was some cheesy lines that I just fell all over. And oh god the part with the dog, I cried like a two year old. But oh the end, that was it? That was really all we got? Come on now, the author brought up a major point with this couple when they first stated kind of seeing each other and it was never mentioned again. Ugh, I hate unanswered questions. Some of the writing drove me crazy. It almost seemed like it was two different people writing at times. Got a little odd. But yeah, I can't really think of much more I can say here. So anyways, the characters were ok and the story was ok. Best parts for me were the lines and the sex.

I was asked to read and give this book an honest review.
Wow this book kind of left me stunned. Throughout some of it, I really wasn't sure what to think but when it all ended I was impressed with it.
We get to meet Nichole who is just trying to survive and live through a tough situation in life. I really connected with this character because I can honestly say that I once lived the same as she did. And like her I can proudly say I lived through it. I loved how strong she was through everything and how no matter what she never gave up. She was determined to make it her life and take care her daughter on her own. Yay! After an incident she realizes that she must leave and go and make a better life for her an Jessica. This decision takes her and her best friend Emily to beautiful Alaska. Where they both can make a fresh start. Just when she believes that she can do this for her and Jess with no worries and problems she is met with a roadblock. Well more like a mountain named Dylan. Swoon, Dylan. Dylan is in a band, and yes he is what you think. A hot cocky playboy who is with a new girl every night. But for some reason Nikki is drawn to him and no matter how many times she tells herself he is not what she needs in her life, she just can't seem to get him out of her head. But little does she know that Dylan feels the same way. I may have "awwwwed" a lot when I found this out. I fell totally in love with this man after all the stuff he did for her. The way he never let her give up and just his strong presence even made me feel safe. I am so considering moving to Alaska if all the men up there are like this lol. Does anyone know for sure?
Just when Nicole gives in to Dylan and finally moves Jessica up there to be with her, their safety is suddenly shattered by an unforeseen danger. Someone that she felt she could truly trust turns out to be something that your nightmares couldn't even come up with. After fighting for so long to survive, the biggest question is how will she ever make it out of this alive?
I am so telling you this book was definitely a heart stopper. Ugh, I couldn't put it down. I just kept thinking I know what's going on, I know who it is! Only to be totally surprised by the next page. There was a couple of spots that I kind of lost interest in but overall I was hooked. The characters were great and ohh the whole book, wow lol. The writing was great, I really like this author's style. When you pick this book up , please be sure to have some tissues and make sure to leave all the light on in the house. The end, oh the end. It just has my head spinning. I can not wait to read the next book.
My song for this book. Sleeping Beauty by A Perfect Circle
I was asked to give this book an honest review.
I got to 76% of this book and had to stop. And it wasn't because I thought this was a bad book or that the writing was terrible. I honestly just couldn't get into it. I tried, I really really did. But there was just something missing, something about it just didn't grab me. But let me review what I did read .
So on with the characters. Rayne is a young girl who is just trying to to make it through the last day of school with her best friends Cyn, Derek and Kay. In school she is labeled a freak because of her dad and his crazy outburst. At least I think that was really the only reasons but with her best friends she makes it. But littl does she know, that as the day goes on everything will slowly start to change. Sooooo as these changes go, Rayne learns her somewhat normal life is not as normal as she believed. Secrets and lies will be revealed. People who she thought she knew totally surprise her and some not in a good way. But along the way she does meet some people who completely change her life. Sorry that may be all a little confusing lol. But from what I read, she kind of gets thrown into a type of paranormal world and into a fight for her life. Friends and lives are lost, new ones are made but in the end was it all enough to save the world?
Ok, from what I did read this was a neat story. It introduced me to a new topic that I haven't read about yet. There was a lot of action and a lot of stuff constantly going on. I really did like all the characters and I just wanted to hug Derek and maybe shake Rayne a couple of times. I really wish I could of finished this book because I am curious and I want to know how this all plays out. One day soon I can see myself picking this back up and finishing it. But as of right now it just didn't catch me.
My song for this book: Pocketful of Sunshine by Natasha Bedingfield
I was asked to read this book for an honest review.
Let me tell you that I found this book to be one of the weirdest books that I have read in a long time. And I absolutely loved it. There was just so much going on in this book that I wish I had way more time to read it. You definitely would need more than a week to take it all in and thoroughly enjoy it. This book just had you twisting, turning, flipping sideways, turning upside down and running backwards lol. It was all crazy and just weird. But oh it was such a good weird. I think every other word in my notes was the word weird. As you can tell, I am using it a lot now.
Every single character in this book was fantastic. From the tiniest sprite to the biggest stinkiest dragon, I loved them all. Oh yes, I forgot about the normal humans to, I liked them. I really liked how the author had the 3 POVs. You had the 2 main character's POV and then a sorta main character's POV, that I do believe helped make the story. That was a definite added bonus here. We start out by meeting Cobra and Zoe, ha! I am not gonna lie but it took me a minute to warm up to these two, but I think that may have been how it was suppose to be. But I ended up loving the things that came out of their mouths. Some of the stuff that Cobra muttered was some of the exact same things that come out of my mouth. And I really felt sorry for Zoe after a bit and I could kind of understand her attitude. These two were suddenly thrown into taking care of a property that was left to them after their Gran passed away. This father and daughter team had lead kind of a rough life so far and they thought maybe this would be the answer to all their problems. Well Cobra did anyways, Zoe just didn't want to leave her best friend and wished her dad would admit to seeing the orange dragon. What they stumbled into was Rest Inn Peace...Where Life Begins At The End of The Road. Love it! It was a place full of dragons, trolls, zombies, fairies, a talking cat and Reggie. Reggie was the manager of the Inn. I loved her wide open spirit. She was so light and airy and just kind of balanced out Cobra's grumpy self. She proved to Cobra and Zoe that the magic they saw was to be embraced and not ignored, that it was what kept the world moving. But once these 3 zany character and all the magical ones got together, utter chaos, laughs and danger ensued.
So as you can tell, I really loved this book. There was so much stuffed into this story and for once I loved it. It honestly wouldn't of been the same without all of it. You seriously never knew what would happen next or exactly what would pop out of the woods or the fireplace. There were a couple of parts that did kind of slow down and I did skip a few sentences here and there but other than that, it was just great. Oh and my only other complaint is, WHAT KIND OF ENDING IS THAT?!? Does this mean there is going to be another book? Hmmmm? Oh I hope so. If so, I can not wait to read more about all these fruitbatty characters. So if you are looking for that odd little story that will have you laughing, look no further.

What can I say about this book that hasn't already been said before? Ok, well I loved the characters. Velaney(Love the name) was just all awesomesauce. I loved her and was actually really proud of her for surviving what she did all those years. I am not sure how she did it without breaking. Strong women are the best ever. After surviving what she did, it seems her life wasn't done testing her just yet. For the first time ever, feelings and emotions are thrown into the mix and this has Vel running and questioning everything. She figured she would just go through life and live in her silent hell and merely exist. But little did she know her life would one day truly begin with just a little spark, literally and figuratively. One night when a neighbors apartment catches fire, she meets...wait for it, wait for it....Eric. Good lord a hot firefighter. I was already feeling a little swoony at this point. I mean he may be a fireman, a hot one, but he rescued Vel. And then you find out he has TATTOOS, wears cowboy boots and is from Texas. He has a southern accent people. I swooned all the way to the floor, I was sad when I realized he wouldn't be rescuing me though. Now even though I love him, I found Eric to be an odd little duck. He just did the quirkiest things, but I did like them. The way he seemed to devote himself to Vel was great. I am not gonna lie and say I didn't put in my notes that she needed to run like her ass was on fire when he did that stuff with the skank and acted all jerky. But he did redeem himself with the first date. So I am on Team Eric again. It was really great to see how he was there for her and no matter what time he knew her he was there to help her find herself again. But I keep wondering, if maybe there is more to him then we know at this point. Oh and I can not forget her best friend Cass, I love LOVE her mouth. And piss on Aiden, booooo. So we gotta wait and see what this spark eventually does, sighhhh.
Now with the story. It was a great story, butttt it did drag in some parts and I will admit to skimming through some of the paragraphs. Besides that, it did flow really well and it kept you all in the story. I was constantly asking myself what was gonna happen? Who is that? What's she going to do? And why, whyyyyy? There was a lot of yelling on my part about things also lol. I cringed and there were a lot of tears and all that great stuff. And guhh the sexual tension almost had me calling the fire department. Lord these two. When they finally got together, i melted. I had to sit out for a few minutes. So needless to say I am ready to read the next in this series. I guess I better keep a glass of water and an oxygen tank handy.

Oh how happy happy I am that I finally got to read this book. I have now added a new author to my "Loves of my Life" list. I seriously couldn't put it down and I in no way wanted to.
Ahhh the characters. Mia was a very pleasant surprise. I loved her spunky don't-give-a-crap-you-are-gonna-hear-what-I-have-to-say attitude. It made me smile and laugh a lot. Hell, I may have even refereed to her as my girl a couple of times. It was just fantastic that she never really turned into the typical damsel in distress. When I realized she was going to be like this, I wanted to do a happy dance. And we can certainly not forget about Mr Colby Winters. Of course he's all hot yummy commanding gruffyness and I just wanted to lick him. Oh and we must add that he is funny and has a secret sweet side. But I do have to say that there is some tiny thing missing from him, I can't figure it out though. I just wanted to hug and kick him after every time he gave himself the "she can do so much better than me" speech. But the two of them together was great. I loved the banter back and forth. And good fuzzy gophers, the sexual tension between these two was melting over onto me, lordy lordy. After chapter 11, I needed a cigarette break and I don't even smoke. I was a puddle of goo, I couldn't have moved from the couch if the house was on fire.
I loved this story. It was all action packed, there wasn't just one boom but 2 and then there was even a relationship boom on top of that. Yeah, I like a lot of boom in my story. The only thing I think the action was missing was some blood lol. I wanted a little more gore here, it was just to neat and tidy for my liking. It was still great though. I mean I laughed, I teared up and I got all gooey. But the ending kind of left me wanting more, it was just a little bland after all that had happened in the book. So even with the minor things, I really just loved it all and I can not wait to read more from Christin.

(Sorry took some medicine and am not feeling great, so you just get a little review for now)
I have really enjoyed all the books that have come from this series so far and I am hoping there will be more. I had a ton of hahahaha moments. I absolutely loved Emma, i found her hilarious. I mean come on the girl "Baaahed " like a sheep. I was dyeing here. Now Guy had his funny moments and I liked him at times but it definitely wasn't 100% love here. There just wasn't much to Guy but sex and humor and i am sorry but I need a little bit more lol. And I did like the story but it had a lot of down times where I did get a little bored. But as always I really liked the book and hope to be reading a lot more from Mimi.
